Address Verification

You can optionally turn on Address verification on your checkout form. It only goes into effect if you are displaying all the address fields on the form.

  • Address Verification options can be found on your Edit Event Page.
  • Edit Event -> Manage -> Checkout Options

  •  You can enforce it on the user to stop checkout, or you can suggest it to the user giving them option to continue without changing the address.
  • No Verification option is the default option. If this option is selected the system will not verify the address.
  • If Enforce Correct Address is selected then the following takes place:
    • If the verified address is valid, it simply continues with the payment.
    •  If the verified address is different in format to the one provided by the user, it shows a verification window like in the example below.

  •  If the Address is invalid it shows the below message.

  • If Suggest Correct Address is selected then the following takes place:
    • If the verified address is valid, it simply continues with the payment.
    • If the verified address is different in format to the one provided by the user, it shows a verification window like in the example below.
  • Since this is a suggestion, both buttons will continue with the payment.

If the Address is invalid then it shows the below. If you click Change Address, it goes back to the form and you can update it and resubmit for payment.  Otherwise, you can just ignore and continue to payment as well since the option is to suggest but not stop you.
