Add Tickets

 In this article, we'll guide you through the process of adding tickets to your event using BetterUnite. Whether you're organizing a fundraiser, gala, or community gathering, setting up tickets is a crucial step in managing your attendees and maximizing participation.
  • In the Edit Event page, select Tickets tab to add your tickets.

Adding Single Tickets

  • To add single tickets click on Add and then Single Ticket.

  • In this pop-up window fill out the details of your Single Ticket. You can switch from editing or adding an item, directly to adding or editing the images for that item.

  • Access Options: Allow for Purchase, View Only or Hidden.
  • Images: Tab over to images to add and manage your images for this ticket.
  • Title: The name of your ticket.
  • Amount: Enter the minimum $ amount for donors to qualify for this registration. If you are offering this for free then leave the amount at $0.
  • Type of Registration: Indicates whether it is a single ticket or a bulk ticket.
  • Categories: Categorize your tickets to make them easier to organize and search. 
  • Description: Enter the details of your ticket here.
  • Limit per Order: If you wan to limit the number of registrations per purchase enter it here. If limitless leave it blank.
  • Guest Link Visibility: Each guest has their own unique event link where they can participate in your events fundraising activities like silent auction, giving page, raffle etc. Choose whether the guest gets this link Upon Purchase, Upon Check-in or Never. 
  • Show After: If you set a date here, this item will not be shown for purchase before this date.
  • Hide After: If you set a date here, this item will not be shown for purchase after this date.

Advanced Options

  • Fair Market Value: Provide a Fair Market Value for this item if applicable.
  • Donation Fund:  Decide which fund the money from the tickets goes to, by default it will go to your campaign.
  • Show Total: If toggled on, the total purchased amount of this item will be displayed. 
  • Show Available: If toggled on, the total available for purchase will be displayed.
  • Allow Pledge: If toggled on, donors can purchase this item with as a pledge. 
  • Auto-create Table: Upon purchase of the ticket a table will be made for the purchaser. 
  • Auto-create Guest Team: Upon purchase of the ticket a guest team will be created for the purchaser. 
  • Not Attending Status Auction: If a ticket or sign up slot is marked as 'Not Attending', the system can automatically remove that guest slot from the registration. 
  • Auto-tag Contacts: Upon purchase of this item, the purchaser contact and all guests contact records will be tagged with the provided tags. 
  • Auto-tag Payments: Upon purchase of this item, the transaction record will be tagged with the provided tags. 
  • Auto-Tag Guests: Upon purchase of this item, each guest slot in this registration will be tagged with the provided tags. 
  • P2P Access: You can determine if this item will show on master or child campaign pages. By default the item will be shown on both pages. 
  • Internal/Check-in Notes: This note will be shown to the user checking-in any guest with this ticket. 
  • After entering the ticket details Click on SAVE.

Adding Group Tickets

  • To add Group Tickets Click on ADD and the Group Ticket.

  • Compared to Single tickets, Group tickets have extra information to be filled out.

  • Group of which Ticket Type: For a group ticket provide the ticket type that the group ticket consists of.
  • How many in each unit: How many of the base ticket type make up this group ticket.
  • On the same pop up window, click Images to add images for your group ticket.

Adding Combination Tickets

Combination tickets are tickets defined in an event that are made up of multiple event tickets that can include tickets from the same event or tickets from other linked events. (You can link events using the Other menu shown below). The combination ticket has its own price and will show up as an item just like any other ticket on your event page, however, upon purchase of this ticket, it will result in multiple tickets being purchased based on the combination ticket definition. 

Edit Ticket

  • To edit a ticket click on the Edit button to the right of the ticket. 
  • You can also click on the drop down arrow for quick actions such as it's current status, access options and managing it's presentation.
