Applying a Badge Template Pack to a Campaign

Badge Template Packs make it easy to add a complete set of achievement badges to your Peer-to-Peer (P2P) campaign. With just a few clicks, you can apply a ready-made collection of badges designed for common event types—saving setup time and ensuring a consistent participant experience.

This article explains what badge template packs are, how to apply them, and when to use them.

What is a badge template pack?

A badge template pack is a preconfigured group of badges created for a specific type of P2P event, such as a walk, run, or fitness challenge.

Each template pack typically includes badges for:

  • Getting started (first activity logged)

  • Reaching activity milestones

  • Being active on multiple days

  • Receiving pledges or sponsors

  • Completing the event

Badge template packs include predefined rules and thresholds, so no manual setup is required.

Where to find badge template packs

Badge template packs are managed from your campaign’s Peer-to-Peer Activity Settings.

To access them:

  1. Open the campaign’s Event Dashboard

  2. Go to Peer-to-Peer Activity Settings

  3. Select Badge Templates from the left navigation

How to apply a badge template pack

  1. In the Badge Templates section, locate Badge Template Packs

  2. Use the dropdown to select the template pack that best fits your campaign
    (for example, Walk/Run Starter Badges)

  3. Review the list of badges included in the pack and their criteria

  4. Select Apply

Once applied, all badges in the template pack are added to your campaign automatically.

What happens after you apply a pack

After applying a badge template pack:

  • All included badges become available in your campaign

  • Badges follow their predefined rules and thresholds

  • Participants can begin earning badges immediately (based on event settings)

You can:

  • Edit individual badges

  • Adjust thresholds

  • Activate or deactivate badges

  • Add additional custom badges

A typical Walk/Run Starter Badges pack may include:

  • First Log – Log your first activity

  • 1 Mile Club – Reach 1 total mile

  • 5 Mile Club – Reach 5 total miles

  • 10 Mile Club – Reach 10 total miles

  • 25 Mile Club – Reach 25 total miles

  • Active 3 Days – Log activity on 3 different days

  • Active 7 Days – Log activity on 7 different days

  • Got Sponsored – Receive your first pledge

  • 5 Sponsors – Receive 5 pledges

  • Finisher – Complete the event

Exact badges may vary depending on the template pack.

Benefits of using badge template packs

  • Faster setup: Add a complete badge system in minutes

  • Consistency: Provide participants with a clear, motivating progression

  • Best practices built in: Use proven badge milestones for your event type

  • Flexibility: Customize badges after applying the pack to fit your campaign’s goals

Best practices

  • Apply a badge template pack before participants begin logging activity

  • Review badge criteria to ensure they align with your event’s goals

  • Customize or disable badges as needed rather than deleting them

  • Communicate badge milestones to participants to boost engagement
