Bulk Image Upload for Auction Items

Overview

The Bulk Image Upload tool lets you upload many images in one pass and assign them to auction items faster.
It can automatically match images to items using the item reference number in each filename.

Who this is for

Auction admins managing item photos in a campaign/event.

Before you begin

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP

For best results, name files starting with the item reference number
Example: 101_front.jpg, 205-side.png

How to use Bulk Image Upload

Step 1: Upload Images

1. Open the auction item management area.

2. Click Bulk Image Upload.

3. Drag and drop files, or click to browse.

4. Upload one or many images.

You’ll see:

• Total uploaded

• Auto-matched images

• Unmatched images

Tip: The tool works best when filenames begin with the item reference number.

Step 2: Review Auto-Matches

The system tries to match each image to an item based on filename.

A match is found when the filename starts with the reference number, such as:

• Exact: 101.jpg

• Prefix with separator: 101_front.jpg, 101-side.png, 101 detail.webp

In this step, you can:

• Confirm matches

• Change a match

• Remove a match

Step 3: Assign Unmatched Images

1. Select one or more unassigned images.

2. Choose an item from the dropdown.

3. Click Assign.

4. Repeat until complete (or leave some unassigned for later).

You can also search items to speed up manual assignment.

Step 4: Confirm & Save

Review the summary:

• Total uploaded

• Assigned

• Skipped

• Items updated

Click Save & Assign All Images to apply assignments in bulk.

A progress bar will show save progress and then a completion message.

What if images are skipped?

Skipped images are not linked to an item.
You can assign them later from item editing.

Troubleshooting

No images to assign
At least one image must be assigned before saving.

Images did not auto-match
Check that filenames start with the exact item reference number.

Some assignments failed
Retry the failed images from Bulk Image Upload.

Can I upload from cloud storage?
Yes. Upload supports multiple sources, including local files and connected cloud sources.

Can I assign multiple images to one item?
Yes. You can assign multiple selected images to the same item.

Can I skip and come back later?
Yes. Unassigned images can be linked later from item edit.
