Can I extend a subscription
Yes. Administrators can extend an existing subscription by updating its end date. This is useful when you want to grant additional time, correct an end date, or accommodate special circumstances for a member.
Extending a subscription does not require creating a new subscription and does not interrupt the existing subscription history.
How to extend a subscription
You can extend a subscription directly from the subscription details page.
Step-by-step instructions
-
Go to Membership → Subscriptions
-
Locate the subscription you want to update
-
Click the subscription to open the subscription details page
-
In the top-right corner, open the Actions menu
-
Select Change End Date
-
Choose a new end date in the future
-
Click Save Changes to confirm
Once saved, the subscription will reflect the new end date immediately.
What happens when you change the end date?
When you extend a subscription:
-
The subscription period is updated to the new end date
-
Any open invoices scheduled after the new end date are removed
-
Membership access continues through the updated end date
-
The subscription remains active and intact
This ensures billing and membership status stay aligned with the updated term.
Important notes
-
The end date can be adjusted to any future date
-
This action does not automatically create refunds or credits
-
Extending a subscription does not change past payments or activity
