Can members have a Member ID Card?

Yes. Members automatically receive a digital Member ID Card that they can access at any time through the member (supporter) portal.

This digital ID card provides a quick and reliable way to verify membership status and can be used at events, entrances, or check-in points.

What is a Member ID Card?

A Member ID Card is a digitally generated card that includes:

The member’s name
Their active membership or subscription
Current membership status (active, past due, expired, etc.)
A unique QR code tied to the member’s record

When the QR code is scanned, the system displays the member’s membership details, allowing staff to quickly confirm whether the membership is valid.

How members access their Member ID Card

Members can access their ID card directly from the member portal.

Steps for members

Log in to the member portal at https://betterunite.com/portal
Open their member profile
Click Member ID Card at the top of the page
View, display, or download the ID card and QR code

The ID card can be shown on a phone or printed if needed.

What happens when the ID card is scanned?

When a staff member scans the QR code on the Member ID Card:

The member’s profile and subscription details are displayed
Membership status is shown clearly (active, past due, expired, etc.)
This allows for fast, accurate membership verification

Do members need to request an ID card?

No. Member ID Cards are automatically generated for members and are always available in the portal. There is nothing extra for members or administrators to set up.
