Can I make auction items view-only and not accept bids yet?

Yes you can make auction items view-only. 

  • Go to Manage Auction page, locate your item.
  • Click the action button and select Edit Item.

  • In the Edit pop up window, locate the Access Options drop-down and update your auction item to View Only status.  
  • This will make the item visible to everyone but will not take any bids. This is a typical setup for Live Auction items.
