Combined Guest Experience (or Linked Guests)
You may have a request from a couple who want to act as a single unit when participating in your event. They may want to know about each other's bids, they may want to be notified about each other's auction activities together and they may want to use the same credit card on file.
- When you are checking in your guests, you can now combine or link guests into a single guest experience that enhances their interaction with your event.
- Combined guests will:
- Share their card-on-file
- Bid on auction items without worrying about bidding against each other
- Get joint notifications on bid and outbid activities
- Combined or Linked Guests must be on the same Registration. In other words, they must be part of a common group ticket purchase - you cannot link two guests on single ticket purchases.
- To combine your guests you will first need to click Check In Guests .
- Search for one of the guest names you'd like to combine and on the check in page you will see an option to combine this specific guest with another guest from the same group.
- Click the drop down menu to select the second guest to combine their guest experience.
- Once you select the second person the system will ask you to confirm this selection. Click OK.
- In the example below the first guest's page "Tom Hanks" will now show who he is sharing the guest experience with (Rita Wilson).
- If you click on Rita's guest check in page it will display "Sharing Guest Experience with Tom Hanks"
- When one of the guests bid on an auction item the the Auction Item will display "Highest Bidder" on both experience pages. This will be a notification for both parties to see that they are the highest bidders.
- If they are out bid on an item or win an auction item, both parties will receive a notification even if one party was outbid or won an item.
- When pre-authorizing their credit cards only one person will need to enter their card details as they can share the credit card for their event activities.
