Do the auction bidders get a text message when they are outbid?

Silent auction bidders do get a notification when they are outbid, provided they entered their phone information when they registered to bid or purchased their ticket AND you have opted into Basic Messaging.

  • In the example below, the guest will be bidding on a silent auction item.

  • The guest clicks on Bid and then sends their bid through.

  • As they will be the highest bidder at the time, they will see the below pop-up window visible notifying them that they are currently the highest bidder.

  • Once another guest outbids them they will receive a message as per below to notify them of this.

  • Live auction bidders don't receive text notification when they are outbid because the live auction is happening live, and they are moving through it within the software very quickly. However, they see their bid status on their auction page above and will have immediate feedback when they are outbid on that page.
