How can members cancel their subscription?

Members can cancel their own membership subscription at any time directly from the supporter portal. This gives members full control over their subscription without needing to contact an administrator.

Once canceled, the subscription will stop according to your organization’s cancellation rules, and no future recurring charges will be created.

How members access the supporter portal

Members can access their supporter portal in either of the following ways:

Both options open the same supporter portal experience.

How a member cancels their subscription

Once logged into the supporter portal, members can cancel their subscription in just a few steps.

Steps

  1. Log in to the supporter portal at betterunite.com/portal

  2. Locate the active subscription or membership

  3. Open the subscription details

  4. Select Cancel Subscription from the available actions

  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted

After confirmation, the subscription will be canceled and future recurring payments will stop.

What happens after a member cancels?

After a subscription is canceled:

  • No additional recurring charges will be created

  • The subscription status updates accordingly

  • Past payments and membership history remain available for reference

  • Access to membership benefits follows your organization’s cancellation policy

Important notes for members

  • Canceling a subscription does not remove past payments

  • Cancellation takes effect immediately unless otherwise specified

  • If a member has multiple subscriptions, each must be canceled individually

Need help canceling?

If a member cannot access their portal or has trouble canceling their subscription, they should contact the organization directly for assistance.

Administrators can also manage subscriptions on behalf of members if needed.
