How do I add volunteer hours for a contact?

Volunteer hours for a contact is automatically added when they sign up for a volunteer event. However, you can also add volunteer hours for a contact manually, to cover past or future work, on their Contact record page.

1) On the contact page for your volunteer, scroll down to locate the Volunteer Activity section.

2) In this section, click the "More" action button and choose Manage Hours to show the calendar of activity for this contact.

3) In the pop up, note the drop down list showing all active volunteer events and shifts per event. Choose the event and the shift you would like to associate these hours with.

4) Now navigate to the date of the engagement you want to log, and click on the time of day the engagement began. This will automatically create a time slot entry, which you can drag to move, or drag edges to extend or contract in time. You can keep doing this to add multiple sets of hours for the volunteer.

5) On this pop up, you can also click the ellipsis under each time slot displayed on the left side of the page, to show a menu item which will allow you to cancel the particular time entry.

6) When complete, click Save Changes to commit your updates.
