How do I Run a Volunteer Event?
Volunteer events are standalone events, not necessarily tied to another fundraising or organizational event. These events typically involve specific tasks performed on a particular date or over multiple days to support the organization's mission. A Volunteer Event Signup Page functions similarly to any other Volunteer Signup Page, with the main difference being that it usually operates independently and is not linked to another event.
- To create a Volunteer Sign up page click on Contacts -> Volunteer & Sign Up Pages.
- Then select Create a Sign Up Page.
- Enter in the Sign Up Page Title and click Create Sign Up Page.
- With a Volunteer Signup Page, you can provide the date/time of the event, you can specify multiple shifts if applicable, as well as multiple jobs and multiple jobs per shift if applicable.
- You would then typically put links on your organization web page to the particular Volunteer Signup Page you created in BetterUnite for the event (you can also embed it), and direct potential volunteers to the signup page.
- Embedding can be done on your Dashboard page ->Share/Embed Options as shown below.
