How to embed donation pages to your website?
There are various ways of referring to the BetterUnite giving pages you setup from your website.
The embedding referenced in this topic is for the scenario where you have built a fundraiser, event, membership or a volunteer sign up page in BetterUnite, and you would like to show this page within your own website without your website visitors leaving your website.
This is achievable via a minor amount of work on your website to add an embedded component. Depending on the platform you are using for your website hosting, this capability may have different names and options. E.g. WordPress Embed Url. You have several options when embedding your BetterUnite campaign to display within your website. The appropriate links for these are displayed in the Links / Embed Codes button on your campaign dashboard (see images below).
1) Embed Url: with this option, you can display your BetterUnite campaign landing page or the checkout page using the embed url shown on your embed links pop up window. This url can be used when adding an embed url component in your website, it might be referred to as "embed url", "iframe", "embed component" or other names depending on the platform you are using, but essentially it's a component that asks for a url to embed and this is where you can get that url for your campaign.
2) Embed Code: with this option, you can display your BetterUnite campaign landing page or the checkout page using the embed code provided in your campaign embed codes. This is essentially the same function as the Embed Url above, but in some cases some website platform will ask for this embed code and you can use this instead of the url above. E.g. WordPress Embed Plugin. It's a piece of html and javascript code that automatically builds the embedded window within your site.
3) Embed a donation button on your website: with this option, you can add a simple button to your website that will pop up a short donation form you can customize for your campaign. See this article for details on how this looks and works.
4) Embed a short donation form on your website: with this option, you can show a simple donation form on your website that you can customize. See this article for details on how this looks and works.
Note: The Embedded version of the fundraisers will have the exact functionality as the full giving page, except that it will not display the banner area and the BetterUnite footer. The styles used on the embedded version is also quite neutral to allow it to blend into your web page more naturally.
