How to Import Data

The types of records you can import into the system are:

• Donors
• Donations
• Event Guests & Purchasers - attendees

Import Donors

• This is typically the first import we recommend for organizations planning to transition to BetterUnite.  The Donor import process is done through a CSV import. Once you have your donor information ready to import, it's a matter of going to the appropriate page in BetterUnite and selecting your file to import, and providing any column mapping that may be necessary.
•  We find that typically the difficult part is the cleansing of your original donor information and working through your extract to make sure all the information is organized accurately and de-duplicated before attempting to import into BetterUnite. Import Donations

• The Donations that you have received can also be imported into BetterUnite. If you have a CSV file prepared, you can upload this document or use the template provided to fill in the relevant information and then upload it. Import Guests & Purchasers

• If you need to import attendees, you can do this through the Action Center on your Event Dashboard. You can import your attendees with the CSV file that you have prepared or use the template provided.
