How to log an activity for a contact?

Contact records can have activity logs associated with them. An activity log can capture a past action of types: "Note", "Phone Call" or "Email".

  • A log can be entered on a contact record on the Contacts Page.

  • Click on the Contact to log an activity as shown below.

  • Under the Activities stream section, click the type of activity and provide details, including direction (e.g. phone call, incoming), and put in notes to capture historical data on the contact. You can enter Phone, Email, Notes and Task Activities.

  • To log a Phone activity click on Phone and in the pop up window enter the details of the phone call. Select Inbound or Outbound, Date, Time, Status and select an Assignee which will list all your users to choose from and click SAVE.

  • To log an Email Activity, select Email from the Activity options, enter in the details and click SAVE.

  • You can enter some historical data on the contact by selecting the Notes option and entering in the details here. Click SAVE when completed.

  • To add a task, select the Task option in the Activity section and enter in the details of the Task and choose an Assignee if its applicable.

  • When all your Activities are logged in, the activity section will look similar to below. To edit an activity click on the Edit Icon on your Activity.

  • A log can also be entered on a contact automatically by the system. When a donation, attendance, text, or payment is processed, the system will automatically generate an activity log to mention the activity.
