Making a Donation or Gift In Honor Of or In Memory Of Someone

How It Works

When a supporter makes a donation or purchase, they will see an option on the checkout page to Add Dedication.

The donor can enter the honoree’s name as part of the checkout process. This option is available across all campaign types in BetterUnite.

Sending a Notification or Note

During checkout, donors also have the ability to send a note or message explaining that a gift was made in honor or memory of someone. This makes it easy to notify a loved one, family member, or organization about the tribute gift.

Common Names for This Feature

This feature may be referred to by donors or organizations as:

• Memorial gifts

• Tribute donations

• Gifts in honor of someone

• Gifts in memory of someone

• Honorarium donations

• Tribute gifts
