Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser Page Lock Options
Master campaign administrators can lock some or all portions of the fundraiser team campaigns.
Understanding Locks in Fundraisers
Locks help campaign administrators control what parts of child fundraiser pages can be edited. This ensures consistency across fundraisers while still allowing flexibility where it matters.
What Locks are Available
How Locks Work
-
UI controls are hidden or disabled
When a lock is enabled, the related fields on child fundraiser edit screens are no longer editable. -
Existing values are preserved
The lock only prevents further changes — it does not erase or overwrite what’s already there. -
Instant unlock
Turning a lock off immediately restores editing access, with no history or data loss. -
Automatic bypass for admins
Parent campaign admins and platform super admins can always edit fields, even if locks are enabled.
Recommended Usage
-
Before launching public fundraisers
Turn on locks before widely sharing “Create a Fundraiser” links to keep early pages consistent. -
For highly messaged appeals
Use Lock Content + Donation Levels together when running a unified campaign, like a capital campaign. -
Goals: motivation vs. uniformity
-
Leave Goal unlocked if you want fundraisers to take motivational ownership.
-
Lock Goal if reporting relies on consistent goal sizes.
-
-
Team settings
-
Use Lock Team Name only if integrations (exports, leaderboards, recognition boards) require strict naming.
-
Apply Lock Join Team for invitation-only groups, such as corporate challenge teams.
-
-
Access control
Enable Lock User Access when compliance or brand safety requires centralized management of who can edit fundraiser pages.
👉 By choosing the right locks for your campaign, you balance control, consistency, and flexibility across all your fundraisers.
