Schedule Virtuous Syncs

Use the Virtuous Sync Schedule to automatically sync eligible BetterUnite data to Virtuous at selected times each day. This helps keep recent donations and pledges moving into Virtuous without needing to manually run syncs from the integration page.

Before You Start

Make sure your Virtuous integration is connected and configured in BetterUnite.

You should also confirm that campaigns you want to sync are mapped to the appropriate Virtuous segment. Scheduled donation syncs only include campaigns that are mapped for Virtuous syncing.

What Gets Synced

When a scheduled Virtuous sync runs, BetterUnite will attempt to sync:

  • Recent unsynced donations from the last 30 days
  • Related pledges, when needed for donation sync
  • Remaining unsynced pledges for the organization

Scheduled syncs are intended for recent, eligible records. Older donations may need to be synced manually from the Virtuous integration page.

BetterUnite will not create a sync record for campaigns that are not mapped to Virtuous. If a donation or pledge cannot be synced, the job run may complete with errors recorded in the sync results or job history.

Set Up a Sync Schedule

  1. Go to your organization’s Virtuous Integration settings page.
  2. Open the Virtuous configuration/options area.
  3. Find the Sync Schedule section.
  4. Turn on Enable Sync Schedule.
  5. Select one or more sync times from Integration Sync Schedules.
  6. Save your Virtuous options.

You can select up to 4 scheduled sync times. Times are shown in your organization’s configured time zone.

Change or Disable the Schedule

To change the schedule, return to the Virtuous Integration settings page and update the selected sync times.

To disable scheduled syncing, turn off Enable Sync Schedule and save your changes. This removes the scheduled run times for the Virtuous sync.

Check Sync Status

Use the job status area on the Virtuous Integration page to review recent scheduled sync activity.

The job status tab/list shows recent Virtuous sync job runs, including:

  • Scheduled run time
  • Execution time
  • Status, such as success or failed
  • Error details, when available

If a sync does not appear to have run, check that:

  • Enable Sync Schedule is turned on
  • At least one sync time is selected
  • The selected time has passed in your organization’s time zone
  • The Virtuous integration is still connected
  • The campaign is mapped to Virtuous, if syncing donations

Important Notes

Scheduled Virtuous syncs run automatically based on the saved schedule. They are best for keeping recent activity current. Manual sync tools are still available for one-off fixes, older records, or specific donations and pledges that need attention.
