Split a Sponsorship Payment

There are a few ways of splitting a ticket or a donation into multiple payers.  An option is to issue an offline ticket and then collect the split payments separately.

Alternatively, you can create a pledge with a $0 payment received.  Then send the pledge payment links to each person splitting the payment, and have them make their payments against the pledge on their own.

• To do the pledge method, go to your event dashboard, click Add offline purchase or pledge.

• In the check out page, select the Sponsorship item, uncheck the Payment Received checkbox to indicate that you don't have a payment yet.  
• Check the Add a pledge button to indicate that you are expecting a payment in the future and click Save Contribution.

• This will create the sponsorship purchase for $0 and it will create a pledge for this purchase which can be paid separately.

• At this point you should see a pledge indicator in your event dashboard.  You can also see it under Giving->Pledges.

• Go to the pledge record and use the appropriate buttons to get the Pledge Payment Link.
• This is the page where each person can make a payment against the pledge.  You'll just share the payment page url with the people who will be splitting the payment.

• The people that are making the split payment can use the checkout URL and edit the amount they are contributing towards this pledge and submit their payment accordingly.
