Suggested Text Messages for Events

Whether you are hosting an In-Person Event, Virtual Event or a Hybrid Event there are various of texts that you may want to send to your donors/guests. These might include Pre-Event Texts, that consist of communication leading up to your Event, In-Event texts that might include instruction/information for the day of the event and Post-Event texts as a way to follow up with your donors. Below are some samples of texts that you may consider sending out for your event/campaign.

You will find these Suggested Messages within your event when you opt into Guest Messaging by going to your Manage Event page > Message Guests.

Click on Message Guests.

Then select View Suggested Messages.

In-Person Event Messages

Pre-Event

Coming Soon: [Name of Event] is coming up! Click the link to review the event details & register your card so you’re ready to go on [Saturday]!
Silent Auction Open: The Silent Auction is now open! Click link to bid [or buy]! We look forward to seeing you [Saturday] at [Name of Event]!
Day of Event: Today is the day! Get ready for [Name of Event] by registering your card and check in online. We look forward to seeing you soon! **when we have the self check-in, there should be a Check In button on the guest experience page (that disappears once they’ve done all the things needed)
One Hour prior: [Name of Event] starts in 1 hour! [Parking/valet details, number to call with questions, check-in specifics]

In-Event

Welcome Text: Welcome to [Name of Event]! Once you’re thru check-in, grab a drink & have fun! The program will begin at 7p.
Fundraising options reminder: Don’t forget [the raffle/the silent auction/the live auction/the bid board]! Take a look at the [table/area] and click the link to [bid/buy/participate]!
Dinner seating: Please take your seats for dinner. Our program will begin [in 10 minutes, at 7p, etc].
Live Auction start: Don’t miss a minute of our lively Live Auction [at 8p or in 15 minutes]. Make sure to have your bid card ready! [You can also bid thru the link here] *if allowing online live auction bids or if hybrid event*
Silent Auction update: There’s still time! Get your bids in on the silent auction items.
Raffle update: There’s still time to buy raffle tickets! The raffle will close at 7p & winners will be announced at 8p!
Silent Auction or Raffle item pick-up: Congrats to our silent auction [raffle] winners! Pick up your items [provide location in room or details on shipping/deliver]
Goodbye: Thank you for coming to [Name of Event]! Have a wonderful evening and make sure to get home safely.

Post-Event

Event Follow-up: Thank you for coming to [Name of Event]! [You can still bid on Silent Auction items until 8p Sunday] [Raffle winners will be announced on Instagram at 8p Sunday, so follow us @NameOfOrg] [You can continue to support our work by clicking DONATE]

Hybrid Event Texts

*for a hybrid event, we recommend purchasing Advanced messaging so that you can filter your target guests and send very specific texts based on purchased tickets and attendance
