Tag Expirations

You can choose a day and time for when specific tags will expire and be removed from a contact's record. 

You can set an expiration date on a contact's tag when creating New contacts or Existing contacts. This is commonly used for time-limited roles — such as board members or committee members — who serve for a defined term and then need to be removed from a tagged contact segment.

  • Tag expiration lets you automatically remove a contact from a tagged segment after a specified date. Follow the steps below to set a tag expiration date on a new or existing contact.

    Navigate to CONTACTS > CONTACTS & DONOR MANAGEMENT > ADD CONTACT
  • On the new window for Add contact or Edit Contact, select the tag you want to apply to this contact.
  • Go to the More Tag Options Underneath the Tags field
  • Set the expiration date for this tag.
