Texting Your Fundraiser Link

Text a link to your fundraising page from your own phone. Your messages app opens with a ready-made message and your link, and you choose who to send it to, just like any other text.

Send a Text from Your Phone

1. On your phone, sign in and open your fundraising page editor.
2. Open the Share tab and choose Text a Link.
3. Edit the message if you like. It starts as "Please support my fundraiser for" the organization's name, followed by your page link.
4. Tap Open my messages app.
5. Your messages app opens with the message filled in. Choose your recipients and send it as you normally would.

The link to your page is always included. If you delete it from your message, it is added back at the end.

Invite People to Your Team

If the event has fundraising teams, check Invite them to join my team instead. The message changes to an invitation, and the link goes to your team's page (or to your own page if you have not joined a team).

On a Computer

Computers cannot open a phone's messages app, so Open my messages app is hidden. Click Copy message and paste it into a text, chat or social post. To text straight from your messages app, open your fundraising page editor on your phone.

Good to Know

• Texts are sent from your own phone number and phone plan. BetterUnite does not send the text and does not see who you send it to.
• Because the text is sent by your phone, your page cannot tell whether it was sent or delivered.
• Messages can be up to 1,200 characters, including the link. Shorter messages are easier to read on a phone.
