BetterUnite has upgraded its Stripe integration from Stripe Standard to Stripe Express, giving organizations lower transaction fees, faster setup, and a more streamlined experience.

If you’re currently using Stripe Standard, switching to Stripe Express is quick and can be completed in just a few minutes.

What’s changed?

Previously, BetterUnite offered Stripe Standard as a payment processor with a 3.5% transaction fee.
We now support Stripe Express with a lower 2.9% transaction fee, helping you keep more of every donation.

You can switch at any time by creating a new processor in Settings → Payment Processors.

How to switch to Stripe Express

Switching is easy and does not disrupt your existing data.

Go to Settings
Open Payment Processors
Click Add new processor
Select Stripe Express
Complete the guided Stripe onboarding

Once connected, you can begin using Stripe Express immediately.

💡 You can keep your existing Stripe Standard processor temporarily if needed, but we recommend switching fully to Stripe Express to take advantage of the lower fees and improved experience.

For most organizations, the answer is yes.
