Zapier integration

Zapier is a middleware platform that enables connections between thousands of different platforms including BetterUnite.  Zapier has basic free functionality as well as more advanced paid modes.  With the Zapier integrations setup, you will be able to send data from your BetterUnite account to most any other system based on triggers.

Currently the following triggers and information is available via the BetterUnite Zapier connector:

  1. New Contact
  2. New Donation/Purchase
  3. Campaign Launched

These triggers will send the relevant contact, donation and campaign information to any end point supported by Zapier and your workflow setup within Zapier.

In order to turn on the Zapier integration, you will need to follow special instructions. These special steps are necessary as part of Zapier's onboarding requirements where they do not publicize a particular connector until there is a minimum threshold of demand, and as our customer demand and usage increases, the BetterUnite connector will be publicly available at Zapier's site. Until then you can still use the connector, but you will just need to find it manually as described below.

  • Log in to your Zapier account or create a new account.
  • Click this link to connect your account with the BetterUnite-Zapier connector.
  • Navigate to "Connected Accounts" from the top menu bar.
  • Now click on "Connect new account" and search for "BetterUnite"
  • Use the API Key [the one displayed on your Zapier settings page] to connect your BetterUnite account to Zapier.
  • Once that's done you can start creating an automation! Use a pre-made Zap or create your own with the Zap Editor. Creating a Zap requires no coding knowledge and you'll be walked step-by-step through the setup.
