Chat Feature During Live Stream

Chat Feature is available within your Events.

• Under Guest Messaging you can see the option for Chat with Guests. It will be greyed out if you have not signed up for Advanced Guest Messaging.
• Advanced Messaging now includes the Chat with Guests Directly option. When  you turn on Advanced messaging the Chat with Guests Directly feature will also be turned on automatically. For further details refer to help article Guest Chat.

BetterUnite also exposes the capabilities of different platforms on the guest page.

For chat during live stream, we surface the live stream platform's chat capabilities since some people may watch the event directly on the live stream platform.  If Vimeo or Twitch is used, their chat is embedded on the guest page and we show that on the guest page to open up chat.  However, YouTube doesn't allow embedding chat, but guests can chat if they're within the YouTube feed on Youtube's app or website, so the chat feature wouldn't be surfaced within our guest page. Zoom has chat within the embedded video. For Facebook, you need to be on Facebook to chat.
