Notes on a grant

The Notes card on a grant is a free-form scratchpad — reminders, context, the thing the program officer said on the phone, anything that does not belong in a structured field.

Using notes

  1. Open the grant and find the Notes card on the Overview tab.
  2. Type into the box. A Save Note button appears as soon as you make a change.
  3. Click Save Note.

Notes are internal. They are never shown to a funder and never appear on an export you send outside the organization.

Notes, activity history and grant history

Three things on a grant look similar and are not. Picking the right one keeps the grant readable.
