Grant payments received
Money that actually arrives against a grant is recorded as a donation linked to that grant. The Payments card on a grant is the ledger of those donations, and the Received chart above it is the same money over time.

Linking money to a grant
There are three ways a donation ends up on a grant:
- When you record it — choose the grant on the donation record.
- Take a payment from the grant — use Take a Payment or Take an Offline Payment in the grant's header to record a cheque or transfer with the grant already attached.
- Link an existing donation — from the grant, search for a donation already in the system and attach it. Useful when a cheque was banked before anyone connected it to the award.
Received versus expected
The Received figure only ever counts money that has actually arrived. It is not a forecast, and it never includes anything you are still waiting for. To see what is still outstanding, use the payment schedule or the expected income view.
Toggle the Received chart between Monthly and Annual to change the view.
