Guest Experience Link Explained

The Guest Experience Link in BetterUnite offers guests a personalized and secure way to interact with and give at your event. 

It provides personalized, mobile-friendly access to everything they need, including auction items, donations, event details, and checkout tools. This guide explains how it works and how to use it effectively.

What Is the Guest Experience Link? The Guest Experience Link is a unique URL created for each registered guest or ticket holder. This link is unique for each guest and should not be shared.

Auction Wiggle Short

You may decide when or if your guests are provided their Guest Experience Links by navigating to Edit Event > Guest Experience.

Through this link, guests can:

  • See event details such as event date and location
  • View, print, and add event ticket to Apple wallet
  • Edit and update guest information; including custom fields like dietary restrictions
  • See table assignment if applicable
  • Pre-authorize a credit card
  • Make donations 
  • View and bid on auction items
  • Purchase raffle tickets and items for sale
  • Access their guest cart and secure checkout process

What appears depends on the content and visibility settings you configure within the Event Settings. 

How to Access and Re-send the Guest Experience Link
There are several ways to locate and re-send the Guest Experience Link to guests:

  • In Email Communications
    The Guest Experience Link is automatically included in key communications such as the Event Reminder email when Guest Link Visibility is set to Upon Scheduled Communication (Default). Review the Communications article here for steps to re-send event emails.

  • Re-Send Individually From the Guest List
    Go to your event’s Guest List > Search for Guest > Click View Guest > Select Re-send invite to re-send the Guest Experience Link via email and text.

Alternatively, navigate to your event's Guest List > Search for Guest > Select the ticket icon to view the confirmation page and ticket details. Once on the purchaser's confirmation page, select Ticket > Send Ticket to re-send the Guest Experience Link via email and/or text.

  • During Event Check-In
    From the Check-in Guests page, staff or volunteers may select SEND to send a welcome text including the guest's experience link or Email Guest Link to email the guest's experience link.

Tips for a Successful Guest Experience

  • Enable credit card pre-authorization during ticket purchase or registration to simplify checkout
  • Use view-only items to highlight Live Auction or Paddle Raise content handled in person
  • Add branding such as sponsor logos
  • Enable texts with Basic Messaging to send guest texts (Included in Premier and Pro Plans)
  • Encourage guests to access the link on their smartphones during the event for ease of use

After the Event
Guests can revisit their experience link to complete checkout, make additional donations, or view receipts if you have enabled that setting.
