Setup a Payment Processor

Signing up for a new processor is simple but will require some details about your organization that you may need to gather before you start the process. We will reference these details in the article below.

Add a New Processor

  • Go to Settings
  • Click the Online Funding tab
  • Click Add New in the top right corner to view the two processor choices.

  • You will now be taken to the processor details page, where you can view and manage details about this processor, including the onboarding launch process.

Complete Onboarding

  • Click the onboarding button to launch the Merchant onboarding flow. We recommend completing this process in one time to avoid confusion later on. However, we can return to it later if you cannot do it in a single session.
  • Upon completing the onboarding process, you will return to the processor details page, which will display the details about the new processor and merchant status information.
  • You should also log in to your processor account now to review any further steps that may be requested (e.g., with PayPal, it will require you to verify your email address before you can accept payments).

Activate your Processor

  • Once your merchant onboarding is complete and you are ready to use this processor in your campaigns, click the "Draft" status link on the payment details page and click "Activate" to activate your processor.
  • Now, this processor will be ready to be used in your campaigns.

Apply to Campaigns (optional)

  • We've made it easy for you to apply this processor to all campaigns with a single link. If you are ready to switch to this processor for everything, click the "Add to all campaigns as default" link in the area showing the campaigns.
  • This step is entirely optional and is only a convenience feature. You can alternatively select this processor on a per-campaign basis as you see fit.

Multiple Payment Processor Options

  • You can set up one or more payment processors on your account and assign one or more processors per campaign. For example, you can optionally sign up for Stripe and PayPal accounts, use Stripe as your card processor, and use PayPal as a way to activate PayPal and Venmo buttons in a campaign.

Security Note

  • Please note that you will need a separate Manage Funding role to access the setup processor section as well as view processor details.
