The work queue

The work queue is everything outstanding across every grant, in one prioritized list. It is where you start the day.

What appears in it

The queue pulls from several places and keeps them distinguishable, because a task and a renewal are not the same kind of thing:

Every row links back to the record it came from, so you can act on it without hunting.

Quick filters

Above the queue are presets for the questions people ask most:

Overdue — anything past its date and not settled.
Due this week
Unassigned — work with nobody's name on it.
Renewals — awards coming up for renewal.
No next action — grants nobody has decided the next step for.

Each preset is the same underlying query as the detailed filters, so a quick filter and a hand-built equivalent always return the same rows. Beneath them you can filter by grant, program, owner, item type, grant status and due-date range.

My work

Toggle My work to narrow the queue to items assigned to you. Your identity is resolved on the server, so this can never be used to read someone else's queue.

The operational overview

The Overview dashboard carries a compact version of the same information, so leadership does not have to open the queue:

My open work — your tasks, requirements and deadlines due soon.
Overdue obligations — with amounts where money is involved.
Grants without a next action
Renewals approaching, in 30/60/90-day buckets.
Team workload — open items by owner, limited to the users you are allowed to see.
Stage aging — the median time grants spend in each active stage.

Every number clicks through into the filtered queue behind it.
